GTM RS232 Electrical data

How to send an SMS
The GTM RS232 is able to receive 160 characters maximum on its RS232
Rx pin and send them to any number that are present between two parentheses.
Example:
xyzxyz(+67488765634)Hello world
The string “Hello world” will be sent to the destination +67488765634.
The string “xyzxyz” will not be sent.
After the SMS is gone, the GTM RS232 will send OK<CR><LF>
If the SMS failed, the GTM RS232 will send NOT OK<CR><LF>
How to received an SMS
The GTM RS232 is able to transmit automatically any incoming SMS and
forward it to the PC through the serial port. The SMS syntax will be as follow:
+CMGR: "REC UNREAD","+41845896587",,"03/10/14,14:51:27+08"

Particular considerations
· The GTM RS232 is a fully secured SMS. Every 10 minutes a signal check
is done with a SMS SIM card read. The SMS buffer could contain up to
nine SMS allowing the GTM RS232 to receive nine SMS at the same time.
· When the GTM RS232 is working and SMS are coming at the same time,
all SMS are buffered in order to be read when the GTM RS232 is back to
idle mode.
· Any call reaching the GTM RS232 will not disturb its functioning. The GTM
RS232 will just hang up the call and get back to idle mode.
· PROTON is not responsible of the SMS delivery between two different
operators.
· It is recommended to previously delete all the SMS messages on the SIM
card to avoid any misunderstood with old SMS previously received.
· The operator offers different service in the field of prepaid SIM cards,
consult us.
